Champion
Group 4 Hard
Champion has become a very consistent high yielding Group 4 Hard wheat, its unique DSV
genetics deliver a very robust disease package including 7.6 for Septoria Tritici. It performs on a
wide range of soil types and equally well across both the East and West regions. Champion is a
high tillering faster developing type with medium length straw. It is best suited to main and
later drilling windows where it performs exceptionally well which also fits with its excellent
second wheat performance. It shows good competitiveness against blackgrass, and along with
OWBM resistance and early maturity Champion is still a very attractive option.
