LG Beowulf
Group 4 Hard
LG Beowulf is a high yielding Group 4 Hard feed wheat, it has Gleam and Costello as parents
and combines the best traits of these two varieties giving growers a very high performing,
stable consistent variety. It has a strong disease package, a yellow rust score of 9 and Septoria
Tritici at 6.6, stiff straw with excellent lodging resistance It has excellent grain quality with a
high specific weight at 78.5 and added security from OWB Midge resistance. LG Beowulf is a
medium tillering variety with stiff straw and excellent lodging resistance. It has a wide drilling
window and performs well on a wide range of soil types and across all geographical regions
making LG Beowulf a very strong variety.
