SY Cheer
Group 1
SY Cheer Is a Group 1 milling variety added to the recommended list last year and was given full
approval by UK Flower Millers in October 2024. SY Cheer brings strong all round disease
resistance to the Group 1 category with an untreated yield of 82% reducing grower risk.
Alongside this, SY Cheers produces high yields of excellent milling quality grain, a robust
Hagberg falling number, high spec weight and good protein conversion. SY Cheer is a higher
tillering variety with good lodging resistance suitable for sowing across a wide range of soils
and drilling dates with exceptional performance in the late drilling window. SY Cheer is a strong
all-round variety that milling wheat growers should give strong consideration.
